Luis Jose MARTINEZ, in his childhood was living in the USA and GERMANY. Although he lived mostly in PUERTO RICO. Growing up he was involved in civic oriented organizations such as LEO (Youth of Lions International), Boy Scouts of America and later the CIVIC AIR PATROL. He attended Youngstown State University in Youngstown, OHIO graduating with a BSAS in Criminal Justice and Spanish. After college he worked at the Affirmative Action Office in charge of a scholarship program sponsored by the US Government.
Back in Puerto Rico, he taught both Spanish and English in several Catholic schools, previous to serving in the PR Corrections Administration as a Probation Officer and Parole Officer.
While working in the Correction Administration he became Vice President of the Union of Civilian Employees in the Corrections Administration.
In Florida he worked as a Child Protection Investigator for the Government and became later the CEO of his own Private Investigation company :
“AGENCY for SECURITY and INVESTIGATIVE SERVICES”, Inc.
For many years he was serving in the O.S.M.T.J. – Order. After being Knighted he held various positions within O.S.M.T.J.
He became the Leader of the Templar Academy and became, Officer, Grand Officer, Grand Cross Officer and later the Grand Prior of Puerto Rico & Florida USA.
Due to disagreements within the group, he and about twenty Grand Priors (worldwide) split off and at the end of 2021 / early 2022, they had official and independent elections organized by the Portuguese branch of the Knights Templar : OSMTU in order to ensure global legitimacy.
Brother Luis J. MARTINEZ was elected as the new official GRAND MASTER to serve and lead OSMTJ Worldwide.

“SOVEREIGN GRAND INSPECTOR GENERAL OF THE TEMPLE – °33”.
H.E. , Mgr. / Prof. Dr. Nicolas HAIMOVICI HASTIER directs & leads The Order to OSMTJ INTERNATIONAL. From 1994 to early 2020, he held the supreme International Office as Regent.
He is in charge the “INTERNATIONAL BOARD” and is the “PRESIDENT OF THE REGENCY COUNCIL.”
He is also at the absolute top of the International Freemasonry Row and is the Supreme Masonic Templar : “GUARDIAN OF THE TEMPLAR FAITH” and holds the 33rd Degree “SOVEREIGN GRAND INSPECTOR GENERAL OF THE TEMPLE – °33”.
Until early 1994, Nicolas HASTIER served as GRAND CHANCELLER and GRAND COMMANDER of The Order until he was appointed in that year by GRAND MASTER Georges LAMIRAND as : “President of the Regency Council”. and “Guardian of the Templar Faith”.
Like any Grand Cross Officer / Grand Collar Officer, he was elected and appointed for life.
Prof. Dr. Nicolas Haimovici HASTIER is a curious character: He holds 5 nationalities and is: French, German, Italian, American and Romanian… During his rich life he has lived in America, Peru, South Africa, Scotland, Portugal, Germany, France and Italy. He is married to a German Baroness and currently resides in Nice, France (on the French Riviera) as well as San Remo in Italy.
Prof. Dr. Nicolas Haimovici Hastier is an internationally renowned and distinguished Physician and Surgeon, with over 100 published scientific articles in pre-reviewed medical journals to his credit.
He is Professor of Medicine and taught at several universities in France and taught for 12 years at New York Medical College (Paramus, New Jersey) in the United States.
For many years he served as AMBASSADOR for the UNITED NATIONS, Afterwards he was appointed as GENERAL to the US ARMY (4 star General) and ADMIRAAL to the US NAVY, doing research on space…. . In that capacity he served for 4 years on the naval flight deck ships : THE USS NIMITZ, THE USS THEODORE ROOSEVELD and THE USS ENTERPRISE ….
He was district director of Rotary of France and as an Officer he was in charge of many other humanitarian organizations.
Nicolas is also a brilliant author and in 2001 he wrote the book : “The Rule of The Order of the Knights Templar” . It took him about 15 years to write this book and the work is widely considered a masterpiece (http://www.sartori.com/osmth/osmth4/book/).
In 2019, he published one of his well-known works : “HISTOIRE, GÉOPOLITIQUE ET FRANC-MACONNERIE. LIBERTÉ VERSUS FORME D’ETAT,” a work that now serves as standard literature among all Masons worldwide.
